About Us

WanderWell Travelers was founded by two women who share a love of adventure, history, and helping others feel confident exploring the world.

In the fall of 2021, Liz and Juliet began volunteering together to support Afghan refugees resettling in the Washington, DC area. As their friendship grew, so did the idea for WanderWell Travelers. From the beginning, they knew this business needed to be rooted in something bigger than travel planning. It needed to create impact.

That is where WanderWell began.

Originally from Texas, Liz grew up traveling across the United States and internationally, building a lifelong love for seeing new places and learning the stories behind them. In her twenties, she lived abroad in England and India before eventually settling in Washington, DC, where she met and married her husband.

Now a mom of three, Liz is passionate about sharing her love of travel and history with her children, and helping others feel encouraged and supported to take adventures both across the globe and close to home.

Her family tries to visit Acadia National Park at least once a year, and she will happily try to convince you that Switzerland or the fjords of Norway belong on your travel list.

When she is not planning trips, Liz loves living room dance parties with her family, reading nonfiction, sipping champagne or homemade cocktails with friends, and exploring her ever-changing home of Washington, DC.

Whether you are planning a bucket list adventure, a family trip, or a quick getaway, we would love to help you create something unforgettable.
